In addition to our informal juggler show this year we will have a professional show by Marco Paoletti and Christian Kielblock called 12 Pieces of Stuff.  This juggling/video performance features juggling, multimedia and the Cyr wheel!

Marco Paoletti and Christian Kielblock as Pieces of Stuff

Show cost is $10 and tickets are sold during the Kansas City Juggling Festival and at the door up to an hour before the show.

Bigger Workshops!

   Beginner workshops include:

           Juggling, Yo-yo, Poi swinging, Hula Hoop... and more!

Beginner workshops will be held every hour on the hour Saturday 9/25 from 11AM until 6PM.  A special Poi workshop with Lucy and a special Yo-yo workshop with the yo-yo boys will be held at 5PM.

******************************************************** In addition to volunteer workshops, Marco Paoletti will be hosting  "Technique for creativity and jamming with a partner" and Christian Kielblock will be hosting "Videography for Juggling."  There is a $50 fee for participation in the master classes.  Information about this master class can be found at the bottom of this page or you can email gregthejuggler [at] gmail [dot]com.

Marco Paoletti will be giving Kansas City a special $50 rate to sign up for his master class. A maximum of 15 students will be allowed to receive the 5 hours of instruction. Please email Greg Owsley at gregthejuggler[at]gmail[dot]com to sign up for the course.

Masterclass:

Physicality:

Approach and creation with an object (balls, rings, clubs and ordinary objects). The main goal of this workshop is to explain the tools to create a personal research with an object. How to think creatively and new juggling without the need of a strong technique.

Movement and juggling:

Thinking juggling related to movement. Notion of space (division, inner and outer space), creation, trick, combination and sequence to "dance with objects" making juggling a more dynamic and less static discipline.

Jamming and partner juggling:

As jazz musician jam, jugglers can also jam. Notions of modern dance exercises related to partner juggling. What to do when you drop, relationship between objects and partner juggling related to music. Non static and improvisation juggling.

X) The objective of the workshop is to create a 5 min presentation with the students to show in the open stage.
